Man accused of critically injuring his ex

HOUSTON It happened on Imperial Valley near Greens in north Houston. According to police, the woman let her ex-boyfriend into her apartment around 2am to get some of his things. When she opened the door, he attacked her. Her new boyfriend was there and tried intervene. He called 911.

When officers arrived the woman was unconscious and not breathing. They revived her and she is expected to survive. The ex-boyfriend has been arrested.
