Man who died in sailboat accident remembered

HOUSTON Rescuers found the body of Robert Stone in the Gulf of Mexico on Sunday.

The 53-year-old was one of six people aboard the sailboat Cynthia Woods when the vessel capsized. The five survivors floated at sea for 26 hours before being rescued.

Nearly 700 people attended a memorial service yesterday for Stone. He's credited with helping save the lives of two students on board after the boat's keel had ripped off.

Investigators will inspect the boat to determine why it failed.

Friends say Stone's ashes are set to be scattered at sea tomorrow.
