Ten people questioned in fatal shooting

HOUSTON Deputies rounded up almost two dozen people after the deadly shooting laying them out on a driveway with their hands behind their backs.

The incident happened Tuesday afternoon which was the start of summer break for students in Spring ISD.

Eyewitnesses told investigators a 15-year-old girl was at the center of the trouble. The victim was a 24-year-old man. The man who detectives say admitted to the shooting is 41.

Both deputies who patrol the Spring neighborhood, as well as neighbors, say an ongoing feud between teenage girls who live a few houses away sparked the violence.

"A couple of months back, either February or March, two of them got into a fight," eyewitness Jessica Pena told us. "They got into a fight ever since then, they've had a beef between each other."

Investigators are not sure whether the 15-year-old is related to either the victim or the alleged shooter. Criminal charges are pending.

As part of the investigation into the so-called feud, detectives will pull calls for service to the two houses. We do know a deputy constable responded to a disturbance call there just about an hour before the shooting.
