"Light bulbs are a huge, huge commodity. It is probably the second or third fastest moving products. We constantly redo our shelves during the daytime," said Zion Greenfield with Home Depot.
So you may want to stock up this weekend. Here's the list for this weekend of energy efficient products:
- Air conditioners priced under $6,000
- Clothes washers, but not dryers. You won't find any with the Energy Star label
- Ceiling fans
- Dehumidifiers
- Dishwashers
- Light bulbs (incandescent and fluorescent)
- Programmable thermostats
- Refrigerators priced under $2,000.
The sale begins at 12:01 Saturday morning and lasts through the Memorial Day weekend 11:59pm Monday night. Even some Internet and layaway sales qualify for the tax-free weekend.
