UH softball gears up for NCAA tourney

HOUSTON Houston (50-9) earned the No. 1 seed in the region and will face off against No. 4 seed Delaware State (29-23) on Friday. Delaware State won the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference title and will be making their first NCAA Championship appearance.

UH earned an at-large bid after falling just short in the C-USA tournament, losing to UCF in the title game Saturday.

Conference USA will be well represented. The University of Houston, UCF, East Carolina and Tulsa will all be in the tournament.

Also facing off in Houston will be No. 2 Washington taking on No. 3 Texas Friday.
