Houston is among the nation's worst when it comes to traffic. That's according to a company that tracks congestion nationwide. According to a study put out by Inrix, Houston is the 7th most congested region in the country. That's news that doesn't really come as a surprise to drivers. The ranking was based on traffic statistics compiled for more than 30,000 road segments on roughly 50,000 miles of primary roadways.

The top five worst cities are:

  • Los Angeles
  • New York
  • Chicago
  • Washington DC
  • Dallas
"I've been in Florida, New York, everywhere and to me, Houston's right up there at the top," said driver Sandy Langston. "People just don't know how to drive in traffic."

And you know how we hate Monday mornings? Well, according to the study, that's the best day for traffic. Friday is the worst.
