Guard reassigned after Eyewitness News probe

The Harris County sheriff's office is taking action days after an Eyewitness News investigation into an inmate who died following a fight with a guard at the Harris County Jail. Last week, we told you that the medical examiner determined inmate Clarence Freeman died from neck compression, a term Freeman's wife called 'strangulation.'

When we investigated last week, the sheriff's office said it was still trying to figure out what happened. There are still no answers, but they tell us they've now reassigned the detention officer to a job controlling elevators where he has no contact with inmates.
