Two officers hurt in wrecks

HOUSTON The first accident happened when a wrong driver going eastbound hit an officer traveling westbound on the South Loop near Stella Link. The officer was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Moments later, another suspected drunk driver hit the back of a patrol car that was blocking traffic from the previous accident. A female officer was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Police arrested both drivers accused of causing the crashes.
