Obama rejects Clinton's debate challenge

MARION, IN Obama is rejecting a Clinton suggestion that the two candidates meet in a free-wheeling debate with no moderator, in the style of the Lincoln-Douglas debates.

Aides to Obama say he's already debated Clinton 21 times, and that it's not how he wants to spend his time leading up to the Indiana and North Carolina primaries on May sixth.

The two rivals are both focusing on Indiana, where the race is a close one. Clinton has been campaigning with Senator Evan Bayh (by), and talking about reviving the industrial economy.
