Suspect found hiding in attic after chase

HOUSTON A SWAT team out of Galveston tried to arrest Raymond Darden at a home on Regal near Frey in southeast Houston. Darden and his girlfriend took off, and after a short chase they ran into a home.

During a SWAT standoff, the girlfriend gave up and then police went in and found Darden in the attic.

Nearby Freeman elementary school went into lockdown as a precaution during the ordeal. Police also found a pipe bomb at the house where the chase started.
