Smiling, polite robber strikes bank

SUGAR LAND, TX This morning at approximately 11:28am, deputies of the Fort Bend County Sheriff's office responded to a Robbery that just occurred at the International Bank of Commerce (IBC), 10570 State Highway 6, Sugar Land, Fort Bend County.

A suspect approached the tellers and placed a dark red bag on the counter. The man leaned towards the teller and instructed her to remain calm and place the cash from her register into the bag. He then instructed her to pass the bag to the next teller and to do the same.

After the teller complied, the suspect smiled at the teller, said thank you, and then left the bank on foot. He was seen leaving on foot and possibly heading north on State Highway 6. The suspect did not display a weapon; however, during the entire time of the robbery he kept his right hand under his coat and near his left waist area.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 25 – 35 years old, 6'2", 200 pounds, with an athletic build. He was wearing a dark navy blue or black jogging suit with a white stripe down the sides and a dark colored ball cap.

Detectives believe this suspect is connected to several other robberies that have occurred in and around the Houston area.
