Drivers asked to avoid Hardy Toll Road

HOUSTON The City of Houston is asking Houston area commuters to avoid the northbound lanes of the Hardy Toll Road Saturday, March 15, between 5am and 2pm.

Thousands of cyclists will take to the Hardy Toll Road as participants in the Guaranty Bank/Tour De Houston benefiting neighborhood parks.

Commuters are asked to use either Interstate Highway 45 or Highway 59 if traveling from Houston to Bush Intercontinental Airport or from the Airport to points northward.

The Hardy Toll Road will reopen at 2pm on Saturday, March 15, 2008.
