U.S. Air Force Veteran Brad Starkey, a Westfield High School graduate, has become a skeleton athlete in hopes of making the U.S. Skeleton Team and ultimately participating in the Olympics. When one of Brad's contacts from his days of diving on the Westfield diving team and The Woodlands Athletic Center found out about the recruiting effort for the sport of Skeleton, he contacted Starkey.

Starkey attended a skeleton school in Park City, Utah, last November and has been competing since. His next competition is scheduled in Lake Placid, N.Y., in a few weeks.
