Shaun Umeh scored eight of his 15 points in the fourth quarter and Fort Bend Dulles withstood a furious rally by Klein Forest to pull out a 71-66 win in the Class 5A state semifinals. Klein Forest had trailed by 19 in the third quarter and fought all the way back to tied it at 56-56 with about four minutes to play. That started a furious sprint to the finish as the teams traded 3-pointers and fast break layups until Dulles finally pulled away in the final 30 seconds.

Umeh's consecutive layups twice broke late ties and the second came on a nifty reverse that gave Dulles the lead for good at 63-61. Adrian Kuyinu gave Dulles a 66-61 cushion when he finished a 3-point play.

Dre Harrison scored 17 points and twin guards Abel and Thomas Galliguez connected on six 3-pointers for Dulles (34-4).

Elliott Lloyd scored 16 points to lead Klein Forest (33-4), which was down 49-30 midway through the third quarter.
