Jennifer Landers scored 16 to lead Plainview (33-4).
Dickinson took the lead for good on Brianna Hypolite's 3-pointer that made it 27-24 in the third. Dickinson stretched the lead to 35-28 going into the fourth.
Plainview made it to the championship every year from 2001-2004 with offenses that practiced precision and patience, making the extra pass to get the open shot. Plainview brought the same approach this year, but many of the open shots wouldn't go in. Plainview was 18-of-51 shooting overall and 2-of-19 on 3-pointers.
Both teams struggled from the free-throw line. Dickinson was 12 of 24 and Plainview was 4 of 13.
