PINE BLUFF, AK Marcelle Goins sent the game to overtime buy hitting a halfcourt
shot as time expired for the Golden Lions. Some fans ran onto the
court, and cups and pens were thrown through the air. Arkansas-Pine
Bluff was assessed a technical foul, and Matthew Miller made both
free throws to gave Texas Southern a 70-68 advantage at the start
of overtime.
The Golden Lions trailed 77-76 with 16 seconds left in overtime,
and missed two shots that would have given them the lead.
Williams led UAPB with 21 points. David Burrell and Sollie
Norwood scored 18 for Texas Southern.
