A group of residents in Fort Bend County are putting pressure on their future elected officials to take a stand against a new toll road project."I think there is place for them however when they recently raised the toll road tax doubled it do the people have any more say so," said James Butler who opposes toll road project.

Dozens of residents against an expansion of the Grand Parkway showed up at a forum last night -- along with candidates vying for nomination for precinct 1 county commissioner and Fort Bend County sheriff.

The project will turn a 26 mile section of the Grand Parkway from Highway 59 to Highway 288 into a four lane toll road.
