Mehrnaz Gill

She grew up in Beaumont, where she attended Lamar University and went on to pursue a Master's degree in Gerontology at Baylor University in Waco. Upon completion of her Master's degree, she moved to Houston, where she has devoted her time to causes that relate to the elderly and their well-being.

She has served on the Huffington Center on Aging Development board since 2002 and co-chaired the Women's Health Summit in 2002 and 2005. She is also active in the American Heart Association, Open Door Mission, UH Moores School of Music Society and the Women's Club of Houston.

Mehrnaz is married to attorney Ned Gill, III, and they have two children, Grant Dara and Sarah Katherine. She would like to thank her parents for always encouraging her sense of volunteerism.
