A Houston mother who abandoned her two children at a fire station Friday will not be charged. The woman dropped the eight and ten year old children off at Cy-Fair Fire Station One on Rodney Ray. The children told firefighters their mother said she could no longer handle them.

Investigators have spoken with the mother, and the children have been turned over to Child Protective Services.

The Baby Moses Law, which allows mothers to leave children at fire stations, only applies to infants no older than 60 days old.
