Anna Emmons, the Harris County Assistant District Attorney handling the case, said, "It would be a little bit smaller than the size of a bale of hay."
Emmons says Wednesday night's arrest inside room #230 was the culmination of a three month investigation. Police tell Eyewitness News the department's internal affairs division began watching Tennarse back in October, after receiving a tip that she was dealing and selling drugs.
Emmons said, "Everything that I have knowledge of, we believe that she has done everything after she got off of the job."
Tennarse is assigned to HPD's identification division. She was sworn in as an officer just two years ago, but she has now been stripped of her badge for the time being. Emmons calls the situation unfortunate.
"It's unbelievable that you have police officers out there working, wearing the blue, having the badge and breaking the citizens' trust," she said.
Tennarse's bond is set at $34,000 -- that's double the street value of the drugs she allegedly sold. She and her two alleged accomplices are set to be in court tomorrow morning. If convicted, Tennarse faces anywhere from two to 30 years behind bars.
