Coach's association makes Clemens decision

There are new details in the steroids scandal involving Roger Clemens. The yearly convention of high school coaches has made a decision whether to invite Clemens to the event. Clemens has denied using steroids and HGH and that, for now, is good enough for the Texas High School Coaches Association. Association President Jim Long told me Monday that Clemens is still welcome to speak at the coaches convention in Waco on January 12, and that Clemens plans to be there.

The coaches didn't believe it was right to dis-invite Clemens when he hasn't been proven guilty of anything. Clemens plans to tell his side of the steroid scandal story to '60 Minutes' on January 6 and after that, he'll speak to the Houston media on why he was accused of using steroids in the Mitchell Report.

His topic at the coaches convention will be "My vigorous workout: How I played so long."

The only way Clemens won't speak is if its proven he used steroids or that his presence will cause a media circus.
