HOUSTON, Texas - Keep your umbrella handy today. Meteorologist Travis Herzog says there's a 30% chance you'll get a cooling downpour as a pocket of moisture blows in from the Gulf. Otherwise, it'll be hot and humid, so be sure you do what you can to stay hydrated and limit your exposure to the sun.
After a hot, dry Tuesday, we'll have a better chance for rain Wednesday and Thursday as another pocket of moisture spreads in from the Gulf. The rain will not be widespread like last week, but Travis says you could pick up a quick inch in the heavier downpours.
July 4th is now in view of our 10 day forecast, and early indications are more tropical moisture will blow in bringing hot, steamy weather with a 40% chance of a cooling thundershower.
