77-year-old knocked out in Heights parking lot

A 77-year-old man is out of the hospital after he was attacked while walking in a parking lot.

Cell phone video shows a suspect hitting Wallace Lancaster multiple times in a shopping center at Highway 290 and 34th Street on the afternoon of Sept. 15.

"I had never seen him before in my life," Lancaster explained.

Lancaster said he was walking through the parking lot when a man approached him, accusing him of robbing him.

When Lancaster denied it, the man started beating him up.

"I sure was out then," Lancaster said. "That's when he proceeded to go in my pockets and take my money."

The suspect drove off before witnesses could get his license plate.
