Free dental check-ups for children today

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Children can receive a free dental check-up today at the third annual dental festival at Saint Joseph Medical Plaza near downtown Houston.

The event includes a free dental exam, cleaning, oral screening and a chance to learn more about the proper ways to brush teeth.

The event is from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The first 500 kids will also receive a free backpack and school supplies.
