Man shot to death behind southwest Houston store

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The search is on for the killer who shot a man and left him to die behind a store last night in southwest Houston.

Police found the man's body around 9pm behind a Save-N-Go store go on South Gessner near Bissonnet.

Police say the man was shot once in the chest.

The man's friend ran inside after the shooting and told the clerk to call 911.

Police believe the man was killed during an attempted robbery.
