Apple offering free replacement batteries for some iPhones

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Do iPhone users you know complain about how often they need to charge their phone, or how quickly they lose power? Well, there's a recall for that!

According to Apple's support page, some iPhone5 users are eligible for a free replacement battery. According to Apple, the affected iPhone 5 devices were sold between September 2012 and January 2013 and fall within a limited serial number range.

If you want to see if your iPhone is on the battery recall list, you can enter your serial number on this page.

To find the serial number on your iPhone, just go to settings --> general --> about and scroll down to get your serial number.
