The Quest star talks to Don Nelson about the new show

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- Mythical realms and reality competition meet up in the new ABC show 'The Quest.'

Houston-native Shondo Blades is one of the five men and seven women taking part in the competition that combines physical strength with an imaginative realm full of ogres, dragons and a battle between peace and chaos.

Blades stopped by Eyewitness News at 11 to sit down with Don Nelson and talk about the show he says is a dream come true.

'The Quest' premieres Thursday, July 31 at 7pm here on ABC 13.
