HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police are searching for the driver involved in a hit and run accident that killed a man on the freeway in southeast Houston.
It happened just before 6:30 a.m.
Houston police had shut down all lanes of Gulf Freeway southbound at Fuqua where the accident occurred, but those lanes have since reopened.
Police said the victim jumped from the Fuqua overpass and was struck by the vehicle. It's unclear if the fall or the vehicle killed him.
Investigators said the driver did not stop and could faces charges for failure to stop and render aid.
