When a suspect ignored a Precinct 4 Deputy Constable traffic stop Monday morning, he took off into the Enchanted Forest subdivision. Immediately, deputies set up a perimeter in the Cypresswood neighborhood, hoping to catch him.

"They had all the intersections blocked," said Brooks Albery, who lives in the neighborhood. "They were checking the cars, and we went through in our car and they checked our car to see if anyone was in there."

Neither neighbors nor deputies could predict that it would be a Yellow Cab that would help them nab the suspect.

"Caught by a cab, that's a little different," chuckled Chris Thompson, who heard the commotion up and down the streets near his house.

At one point deputies also used K-9s to also aid in the search. However, the break came during one of the perimeter car checks. According to Precinct 4, the cab driver had a cell phone contact for the person he is supposed to pick up. Deputies realized the phone number matched the number of the suspect, so a deputy got in the cab and went to the address.

The suspect was arrested without further incident. Investigators say he also suffered a K-9 bite. He was arrested for a felony warrant out of Georgia and now faces additional charges. The neighborhood quickly returned to normal,
